Our Mission
To develop the capabilities to safely collect, assess, recycle and recover end-of-life batteries, returning valuable materials to productive use and keeping hazardous waste out of our environment.
ABOUT BATRECY
We are building Pakistan’s next-generation battery recycling and resource recovery platform, so the batteries powering today’s transition don’t become tomorrow’s waste.
WHO WE ARE
The rapid growth of electric mobility and energy storage is creating a new challenge: what happens to batteries at the end of their useful life?
BATRECY Technologies aims to turn this challenge into an opportunity through responsible collection, testing, dismantling, recycling and material recovery. Our planned approach will prioritize assessment for potential second-life applications before batteries are directed to recycling. When a second life is no longer possible, the aim is to recover the valuable materials inside so they can be used again.
Our goal is a circular battery economy for Pakistan: safer for communities, better for the environment and stronger for local industry.
To develop the capabilities to safely collect, assess, recycle and recover end-of-life batteries, returning valuable materials to productive use and keeping hazardous waste out of our environment.
A cleaner Pakistan where every battery is part of a closed loop, supporting resource security, green jobs and a resilient energy transition.
WHAT WE STAND FOR
Valuable materials returned to productive use instead of being lost to landfill or informal processing.
Minimizing waste and maximizing value, with safety and environmental controls at every step.
Developing safe, efficient and scalable recycling capabilities for the batteries Pakistan uses today and tomorrow.
Collaborating across industry, research and government to build a circular future together.
WHY IT MATTERS
Electric bikes, rickshaws, cars and buses are becoming more common. Each one carries a battery that will one day reach the end of its useful life.
Solar and backup storage systems in homes, businesses and telecom sites are adding large volumes of batteries that will need responsible handling.
Lithium, nickel, cobalt, manganese and copper are critical, mostly imported materials. Recovering them locally could strengthen resource security.
